Wedding Cost Designations: Who Pays For What?
In almost every wedding, there is something wrong that happens unexpectedly. In fact, there are times when things happen too perfectly that we think it's too good to be true. And if it's too good to be true, that is where the problem starts. Preparing for the wedding day is probably one of the most exciting events of the entire celebration. It is when all the family and friends of the soon-to-be couple brainstorms together as one. Of course, you can expect everyone to suggest something that opposes or conflicts with another one's idea. It is inevitable but can be avoided easily if you plan things out carefully.
You really don't need to pay wedding organizers that much just to do all the planning for you because your friends and family can actually take care of them for you for free. I think the best part here is that you get to have everything that you want for free. Sometimes, you might think that people from each other's side will have conflicts with the other side's interest. However, it is important to explain to them that there should be no arguments when it comes to details since it will be the bride and the groom's call if they want it or not. It is fairly important that the bride and the groom are both active in the wedding preparations.
They should not rely completely on other people's ideas and input on the details. Being hands on with even the smallest details goes a long way. It also prevents big problems from even starting. When you know what you want, it is easy to make it happen since there will be lots of people willing to lend you their hands. Just make sure that you know the wedding concept and details that particularly want to have. The rest will follow smoothly.
Also, know who should spend for what. Sometimes, designating someone with something doesn't work out that great so it would be best that you make them aware of the needs. I am pretty sure that they will all be cramming up to take care of the most expensive part just to impress you and everyone else. Normally, there is a traditional list for the wedding cost designation for the bride and the groom's family. All they have to do is to communicate effectively among them. It would be better if both families will keep an open mind about each other's ideas to avoid any misunderstandings.
Usually, the bride's family takes care of the wedding gown, be it a ready-made gown or a customized gown. It would be more practical to just borrow a wedding gown from someone in the family and to just have it retouched and restored. That way, they can save so much more for other important details for the wedding. If money is no subject, you can have a wedding gown custom-made for you. As for the groom's family, they usually are the ones assigned to take care of the couple wedding rings. There are really no formal rules on the designations. If you think it would be best to go half on everything, it would be so much better.
